报名时，请家长同时选择本学年的家长值班日期。
完成选择后，请刷新（Refresh）个人账户中的 Profile 页面，即可查看您已选择的值班日期。
Parent On Duty (POD) Selection
When registering, parents are required to select a Parent On Duty (POD) date for the school year.
After completing your selection, refresh the Profile page in your account to view the POD date you have chosen.

New for this school year: Starting this year, there is a $50 registration fee per student (charged once per school year). Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable if you withdraw after signing up.
关于新增的 $50 注册费，补充一个说明：
1）这笔费用是独立于学费之外的年度注册费，并且是 non‑refundable。像 SchoolNova、学区课后班等很多机构也都有类似的注册费，所以这是比较常见的做法。我们中文学校长期以来没有做好方面的完善。
2）每年都会有一些孩子在开学后调整课程或退学。过去我们一直按照上课次数和时间来细算退费，同时还要重新安排老师和值班，这对行政工作量影响很大。校委会讨论后觉得，设置一笔 non‑refundable 的注册费，可以帮助覆盖这些额外的行政成本，也让整体流程更顺畅。当然校委们都是自愿免费服务，我们全部资金也都是用在学生各种活动上的。 所以，这 $50 并不是学费上涨，而是学校在把流程做得更清晰、更规范，让大家未来的体验更稳定，谢谢理解。
About the New $50 Registration Fee
We would like to provide some additional information regarding the new $50 registration fee.
First, this fee is a separate annual registration fee and is non-refundable. Similar registration fees are commonly charged by many educational programs and enrichment organizations, including SchoolNova and various school district after-school programs. In the past, our Chinese School did not have a dedicated registration fee, and we recognize that this aspect of our registration process could be improved.
Each year, a number of students change classes or withdraw after the school year begins. Historically, the school has calculated tuition refunds based on attendance dates and class schedules while also making adjustments to class rosters, teacher assignments, and Parent On Duty schedules. These changes require significant administrative effort.
After discussion by the School Board, we determined that implementing a modest non-refundable registration fee would help offset these administrative costs and support a more efficient registration process. It is important to note that all board members serve on a volunteer basis, and all school funds are used to support school operations and student activities.
The new $50 registration fee does not represent an increase in tuition. Rather, it is part of an effort to make our registration process clearer, more consistent, and more sustainable, helping to ensure a stable and positive experience for all families in the years ahead.
