This is an introductory class for teaching youth foundational financial knowledge. The class will cover subjects to recognize multiple currencies & conversions; money skills and decision-making when spending money; learn basic business types, assets, liabilities and equities. Basic investment and compound interests.
Students will be divided into groups to form their own companies by selecting names, products or services, etc, then throughout the semester, we will make business activities and ultimately create simple financial statements at the end of semester. By attending this class, students will have an opportunity to learn financial knowledge in a simple and fun way, this is an essential skill to have at a young age.
